The environmental department established Horticulture project within the mine site. Green vegetables and fruit bearing trees are integrated with fish pond and domestic animals. This farming system aims higher food production and sustainable soil fertility and productivity. “Horticulture” is defined as the art and science of growing and handling fruits, nuts, vegetables, herbs, flowers, foliage plants, woody ornamentals, and turf. 

To cope up with the alarming issues of mangrove deforestation in the Philippines, Citinickel proactively participated in the mangrove reforestation and rehabilitation of the denuded mangrove area in Sofronio Española, Palawan.
